Wyrlcy and The necessary powers of the former act are extended to*'can2° n the things authorised by this act ; no water is to be takenExtension, from the Birmingham or from the Staffordshire Canal.

For the purposes of this Act the proprietors are authorisedto raise the sum os 75,0001. to be divided into shares equal tothe former shares.

A further sum of 40,000k may be raised, if necessary.

The following rates of tonnage are allowed to be taken :

For all coals, coak, iron, iron-stone, rock-stone, bricks,tiles, and other minerals, carried on this canal or cut, andwhich shall enter the Wyrley and Ellington Canal, and notpass through the lock at or near Catlhill, nine-jience per ton*and so in proportion.

For all coals, coak, iron, iron-stone, rock-stone, bricks,tiles, and other minerals, (except such as have been broughtfrom the Wyrley and Ellington Canal, and for which the sumof nine-jience per ton shall have been paid as aforesaid) carriedon this canal or cut, and not pass through the lock at or nearCatlhill, nine-jience per ton, and so in proportion.

For all coals, coak, iron, iron-stone, rock-stone, bricks,tiles, and other minerals, for which the sum of nine-jience perton lhall have been paid upon the Wyrley and Ellington Canal,or upon this canal, and lhall afterwards pass through the lockat or near Catlhill, the further sum of one flitting and three-pence per ton, and so in proportion.

For all coals, coak, iron, iron-stone, lime-stone, rock-stone,bricks, tiles, and other minerals, which shall be produced orgotten from or out of any lands or grounds situate below thelock, at or near Catlhill, and lhall be carried upon any part of
