The Reaſens of this ſecond opinion.

Firſt it is ſaid, the inuading Enimy bringethi a ſelect com-panie of diſciplined and well trained ſouldiers, whom weſeeke to encounter with a confuſed multitude of menvntrained, In whüch match there is no compariſon, butloſſe certaine.Againe it is ſaid, An Enimie of force meaning to land;will do it in deſpite of vs; and then the Countrey offeringto repell him, and finding themſelues not able, grow)much more fearefull then if quietly without reſiſtance wehad ſuffred the Enimie to land. 5Againe while we ſuffer the Enemie to land, we maydriue away all Cattle, and prouiſion farther into the Coun-trie, and then maintaine ſtraights and paſſages wel fencedand fortified, ſo as the Enimie ſhal be forced to approch vsvpon our one ſtrengthes and Fortifications, to his greaterill and daunger. 5 5 5Againe they ſay, if in this manner wee keepe victualsfromthẽ by land, and her Maieſties Nauy alſo in the meanetime leeeping the ſeas, the Enimie for want of victuals onlyſhalbe forced to retire, and glad to withdrawy himſelfe.Farther it is alledged how doubtfull a thing Battaileis, and how daungerous for à King to commit his
