Excellent Remedies for the Ejes.
H Ererofore , being much troubled with fore Eyes, and become almost blinde;
when I was t,iven over by Phyfidans of best account, a certain EmpyrickunJ nook me ; who, putting this VVater into my Eye , cured me the very lameday: I might almost fay, The lame hour. By Gifts, Entreaties, Cunning andMoney , I gained the Secret, which I will nor think much to set down , thatevery one may use it at their pleasure. It is good for Inflammations, Btearnels,Mists, Fistula’s, and fuch-like; andcureth them certainly the second day ; if not thefills. If I should set down all those whom l have cured by it, I should be too tedi-ous. Take two Bottles of Greek-Wine , half a Pint of White Rose-water; ofCelendine,two Ounces 5 of Fennel, Rue, Eye-bright, as much • of T*ucty, half anOunce 5 of Cloves as much • Sugar Candy of Roses, one Drachm ; Camphire,half a Drachm ; and as much Aloes. Tutty is prepared after this manner»Let it be heat and extinguished six times in Rose-water, mixed with Greek- Wine ;but letthe water at last be left out: powder what are to be powdered finely ; andmix them with the waters. Aloes is incorporated with waters thus : because itwill not be powered, let It be put into a Mortar with a little of the forementionedwater* , and beat together until it turn to water, and swim about in ropings, andmix wi h the waters: then put it to the rest. Set them all in a Glass- R ottle, closecovered , and waxed up that it do not exhale abroad in the Sun and Dew for fortydayes, still fluking them four times in a day : at last, when ic is well funned, set icup and reserve it for your use. let the Patient lie flat on his back j and when a drop of this water is put upon hisEye, let him open and shut his Eye-iids, that the water may run through all the ca-vities of his Eye. Do this twice or thrice in a day, and he shall be cured. But thusit must be used for
A Pearl in the Eye*
If the Pearl be above 6 f beneah the Cornea, make a Powder of Shpar-Candy ofRoles, burnt Allome, and the Bone of a Cuttle- Fish, very finely beat and searchedexactly ; and when the Patient goeth to Bed, sprinkle a little of this Powder uponhis eye, and by and by drop some of this water intoit, and let him shut his Eyes andsleep: for he will quickly be cured.

T0 fasten the Teeth .
J Could finde not any thing in all this Physical Tract of greater value then thisRemedy for the Teeth : for the water gets in through the Gumms, even to thevery Nerves of the Teeth, and strengthens and fast eneth them : yea, if they areeaten away , ir filleth them with Flesh, and new cloatbs them.
