H E Council of the Royal S o-ciety, considering with themselvesthe great Importance of having thePublick Meeting of the said Societyc on ft ant ly provided with Entertainments suitableto the Uejign of their Institution , have thoughtfit to undertake to contribute each of them One;not doubting but that many of the Fellows ofthe Society will join with them in carrying onsuch an Undertaking: And being well per-suaded of your Approbation of this their Pur-pose, (so much tending to the Reputation , andSupport’ of the Society,) they desire that youwould be pleas d to undertake for One; and toname any Thursday after the fourteenth ofJanuary next, such as Jhall be most convenientfor you ; when you will present the Society atone of their Publick Meetings, by your self (orsome other of the Fellows for you) with such aDiscourse (grounded upon , or leading to Philo-sophical Experiments) on a Sub jell of yourown Choice: In doing of which , you will bene-fit the Society, and oblige ,
