• IRON is the moft important branch of Svvedifii commerce, its exports thereofamounting to three hundred thoufand fchippunds, at the fmalleft computation, beingabout three-fourths .of the annual production of the mines.
The iron warehoufe at Stockholm is fituated near the fouthern flood-gates, wherethe communication takes place between the lake Mceler and the fea j it is an immenfebuilding, as may readily be imagined when remembered, that all the iron embarked atStockholm is depofited there. Perlons finding theriifelves prefled for money, can bor-row of the bank upon their iron ; the bars pledged are, on fuch occafions, tied togetherwith a firing, which is fealed, and cannot be removed until difengaged by repayment.
