It has three pairs of feed-rolls 8" in diameter, all driven. It has three horizontalcylinders, all of crucible steel, also side heads and header, as follows:

A lower or preparatory three-knife cylinder after the first feeding rolls, 15" in length, 5" diameter, journals 1%" diameter; an upperreducing cylinder slotted on all faces, 15" in length, 7" diameter, with journals 2J/' diameter; a slotted finishing lower cylinder afterthe side heads, 15" in length, 7" diameter, with journals 2 T V"; two adjustable side heads 7" in diameter, 6" wide, slotted on all faces;arbors 2 x y r ; independent beading attachment on pressure-bar over last lower cylinder; side heads interchangeable; removable outsidebearing; bed gibbed at each end across the face; six changes of feed, from 24' to 80' per minute. Weight, 15,000 pounds.
