With Adjusts, ble Tables for Curved or Straight Work.

This machine is designed for straight, irregular, or curvedwork, on which a straight and smooth surface is required, and will produce on hard wood a smooth, even surface, freefrom marks and scratches, that will admit of varnishingwithout raising the fibre. The material is fed over thecylinder by hand.

The surface is more even than can possibly be obtainedby hand-rubbing. The frame is substantial, of box form, almost air-tight, and fits closely to the contoxar of the cylinder. The upper partcan be opened without unscrewing bolts to give free access to the sand-papercylinder for purposes of renewal or repair.

The tables are of iron, finished perfectly true, and good length. The endsare curved on the under side to suit the circle of the cylinder, and can beadjusted vertically from the cylinder to regulate the amount of cut; or, to andfrom each other for reducing the opening over the cylinder. Provision is madefor attaching an exhaust fan for removing the dust.

The tight and loose pulleys are 12"x4", and should make 400 revolutions.
