Ce broyeur s’élève sur un bâtis solide en bois, et sort àcasser et réduire les tourteaux épais et durs provenant del’étranger. Il comporte deux groupes de cylindres quipeuvent être ajustés selon les besoins, de façon à produiredes morceaux de dimensions différentes pour bouvillons oubrebis, ou même de la poudre pour engrais. Entre sesrouleaux est fixé un crible, qui laisse passer toute la quantitéqui a déjà été suffisamment réduite en passant par les pre-miers rouleaux. Cette disposition assure une égalité plusparfaite entre les différents morceaux, et elle fait éviter letravail superflu en empochant la matière qui est déjà mouluede passer entre les rouleaux avec la matière qui est encoreà moudre. Cette machine peut être mue soit par deuxhommes, soit au moyen d’un manège.

This Crusher took the Prizes of the Royal Agricultural Societythree years in succession, viz., at Gloucester , 1853, at Lincoln,1854, and at Carlisle in 1855, as the best Machine for allvarieties of Cake.
This Machine is made on a strong wood frame, and is forthe purpose of breaking very thick hard foreign cakes. Itis fitted with two sets of barrels, which may be adjusted asrequired, to break cake into different sized pieces, for bul-locks or sheep, or powder for manure. A screen is fixedbetween these barrels, through which as much of the cakeas is sufficiently broken in passing through the first rollersis sifted; thus insuring pieces of more uniform size, andavoiding the unnecessary labour occasioned by that whichis already sufficiently broken passing through the bottomrollers with that which is not. The Machine may be workedby two men, or horse-power.
