Forin the History of the Creation in the firstChapter of Genesis, verse a. it is said, Thatthe Spirit of God moved upon the face of thematers, intimating that the Waters were up-permost. And God said, verse 9. let the wa-ters under the Heaven he gathered togetherinto one place, and let the dry land appear .Whence, I think, it is manifest to any un-prejudiced Reader, That before that time theLand was Covered with water, Especiallyis we add the testimony os the holy Pjalmifl ,Psalm 104. vers 6. & 9. which is as it werea comment upon this place of Genesis, wherespeaking of the Earth at the Creation , hefaith, Thou covered/I it with the deep as with0 garment j the waters flood above the Moun-tains .... and ver. 9.
