If this be repeated four or five times, avery accurate meridian line may be obtain-ed, and may be drawn on the window,the floor, or a pavement, by their shadowwhen united by the funs rays, and theplumb lines mav be occasionally suspendedfrom two fixed hooks, when you chuse toobserve the passage of the stars a-crofs themeridian.
