gured by Tho. Bartholine , was nothing elfe than a Tooth of the Cttus Denta-tus , or Sperma-Ceti-Whale. Nor is it long since, that the Bones of theFore-fin ofa Porpess or a fmall Whale, artificially joyned together, wereex-pos’d in London by way ofpublick Shew, as the Skeleton ora Giant’s Hand:For all Filh ofth eCetaceous or Whale-kind, have this Fin made up of justso many Ranges of Joynrs, as naturally answer our 5 Fingers, and all togetherdoös not a little rescmble aMan’sHand.

But the Prodigious large Os Frontts referv’d in the Mcdtcinc Scbool atLeyden, cannot be sulpected toappertain to any other Creature ihan a Man :For this Bone in a Man, is of so peculiar a Make from the Globoso stiape ofthe Head, that there is not to be found a Bone among all the Animals ofthe Creation, that bears any resemblance to its Figuro, if we except that ofa Monkey; but all this Genus being of a much smaller Size than a Man,gives us no Umbrage of Scruple. So that there is 110 room to doubt of itsbeing a true and genuine Part of a large Humane Animal ; as will moreclearly appear by comparing the neat Sketches diawn from the Bone itseif by Mr. Hugo Howard, with a common Os Frontis of the ordinary Sizein the following Figures ; where
