It it should be Objectcd, that this may be D/awn out into Seeming Vtf-sels, which yet may not be really such ; I Answer, that these Vestels havethe fame appearance in the Body of the Testis^ as ro denote them such, be-töre they are Drawn out; and in’ the Exterfion it does sömetimes lb happen, that one of them will Extend calily near half a Yard long betöre it Brcak--,though so exceeding Delicate and Tender, as you may Imagine Andwhen it is thus Extended. it hath a kind of rescmblance to the Corruga-tions of the Epididymis, and keeps the fame Figure and Magnitude in thewhole Extent ofthem, as to the Sight; unlefs they begin to Dry, andthen you may sce them Idole their Girations upon Stretching : as you mayfee of both forts reprefented in the Figure , as they appeared on the dass a-bove-mentioned.
And that the greattst part of these Vestels are Arterie«, or other Vesie'sthat immediately reeeive Liqubrs from them, I may prove, I think, fromanother Experiment, made by Injection into a part of the Arteria Trana-ram, before I went to Expand the Body of the Testis ; whereupon openingthe Part, which I faw diseoloured, I found that many of these Tubes. hadreeeived forne of the fine Partides of that Matter, which I Tinged my In-jected Sprit with.
And to prevent another Objection, that might arise, Viz. That thesoParticles might possibly change their Colour only Outwardly ; I uscd otherendeavours to assure my seif, that the seid Particles were indeed Includedwithin the Cavities of these Tubes. In the doing of which, I did Moistenthose 2 Tubes with Sprit of Wine, to see whether that would Remove orAlter those Particles: But finding no such thing, I Prickt and Open’d witha fine Needle part of the Containing Tube; whereupon I sew iflue forthsevera! of those Liquid Particles afore-mentioned : Which assures me fartherthat this is a mere Scheme or Congeries of Vessels.
3. Quod Cl. D. Clarck ait, se Parenchyma (quod Succum quShdam de- *notare dicit Affusum vel Effusum & aliquo modo Concretum in Vascula- ‘lum & Fibrillarum Interstitiis,) in Testiculis Virorum, & aliorum etiam Ani-malium, Testimonio Sensuum ostendere posse; hoc Ego, pace tanti Viridixero, non nisi Autopfia, edoctus admittere possum. Quandoquidem ßepilll-nse Hominum aliorumve Animalium Testiculos, exceptis Tenuissmis quibus-dam Membranulis, ita disiolverim, ut ne Umbra quidem talis Parenchyma-tis remaneret; imo, quod magis est, querundam Animalium Testiculos itadissolvi, ut vises acie ne quidem Membranulae illae conspicerentur. Et utVerba mea factis comprobem, mitto ad te Gliris Testiculum meo modo dis-solutum, ut videas, an Glandula tales in Testibus (quales proponit Clar. Dn.Clark) vel etiam Parenchyma tale reperiatur. In hunc fere modum reli-quorum Animalium Teßiculos dissolvere possum, ea tamen Dtversirare, utin nonnullorum Testibus aliquae Membranulae tenuissimx, & in quorundam,Radix p xterea Epididymidis Highmori remaneat.
