sprung from the Edges of the Tube, or Fimbria of the Right Ovary , whichwas more entire than the Lest, and proceeded obliquely to the Lest Side, terminating at the Lottom of the Pelvis. In irs delcent it scnt out a fmallportion between the Womb and the ReBum. This Bog, by compreiling theNeighbouring Parts, had gain’d a considerable Space in the above-mentton’dCavity ■ in (üch manner, that a great part ot the ChilTsBody was lodg’datthe bottom of it, in a Bended Poflure, with the Head projecting forwardswhich form’d the Prominente near the Navil. This Bag feem’d to be no-rhing eise than an Elongation and Distention of the 7 «^, and an Expansionor Production of the Broad Ligament on the Right Side, which was evidentfrom irs Continuity to those Parts and the Distribution of the Sperma tickVeß'els, which were larger than ufual, and passed from the extremity of theTube tothe larger Lump. The Womb was entire and in its natural St ate, except that it was fomething larger than ordinary, being about the Sirz.ce ofthat of a Woman ioor 12 Days after her Delivery , and no marks that theChiidhad been lodg’d in it.

M Jouey having obscrv’d this, thought fit to desist till scveral emimentPhysicians and Surgeons were call’d, and then the Womb being carefiullyDiflfected, it was unanimousty agreed that the Foetus had never been in it,([it being, as it was noted above, in the fäme State as in Women who are notwith Child, except the fmall Dilatation of its Bulk, which might arife froma Compreflion of the Vesicis, and Interception of the Refluent Blood, by theunnatural Position of the Feetus.'] In thrusting a long and flender Probethrough the Right Horn of the Womb , it easily pass’d into the Tube of thefame Side, for 3 Fingers breadth in length, but it could not be thrust fur-ther by reason of the Constriction of the Tube in that part. The Capaciryof the Tube could not be distinguifh’d, the Parietes of it, by their Coalitionwith the Chorion and Amnio s of the Child, forming the Bag in whichthe Child was Included, which extended from the Tube on the Right Side tothat on the Lest, and was agglutinated to the Viscera of the Lower Btlly, the ReBum, and to the back part of the Womb, as appear’d by forneFragments remaining on those Parts after the Separation.
