About the middle of the Chapel, there is a parti-tion of wood curioufly carved, feparating the Ante-Chapel from the choir, which was built in 1534,when Anne Boleyn was Queen to Henry VIII .On the front of it are many lovers-knots; and in apannel neareft to the wall, on the right, are thearms of Anne Boleyn , impaled with thofe of herRoyal Hufband: and on one of the pannels, on thefame fide, is carved a moil lively reprefentation ofthe Almighty calling down the rebellious Angelsfrom Heaven. This final! piece of feulpture is uni-verfally admired.

On the left of the choir-door, and in the pannelneareft to it, the fupporters of the arms of Henry VIII . are executed with inimitable fkill. O11 thepartition {lands the organ, which, however, doesnot prevent a full view of the beautiful roof, fromthe great weft-door to the eaft window, a viewwhich muft ftrike any mind with awe and admira-tion.

On the fame partition are fixed nine colours,,taken from the Ifland of Manilla , by Sir William Draper , who commanded the Britifli Troops at thereduction of the Ifland, in 1762. Sir William ,being a Fellow of this College, obtained his Majef-tys permiffion to prefent the Society with thefe tro-phies of his viilory.
