Which three perfons aforefaidfhould give out a fubjedl, which fubjedl, for the firftyear, fhould be one or other of the Perfedfions orAttributes of the Supreme Being, and fo the fuc-ceeding years, till the fubjedt was exhaufled; andafterwards the fubjedt fhould be either Death , Judg-ment, Heaven, Hell , Purity of Heart, <kc. or what-ever elfe might be judged by the Vice-Chancellor,Mafler of Clare Hall, and the Greek Profeffor, tobe mod conducive to the honour of the SupremeBeing, and recommendation of virtue. And thatthey fhould yearly difpofe of the rent of the aboveeflate to that Maher of Arts, whofe poem on thefubjedl given fhould be beft approved by themWhich poem was always ordained to be in Englifb,and to be printed ; the expence of which fhould bededudled out of the product of the eflate, and therefrdue given as a reward for the compofer of thepoem, ode, or copy of verfes.—The eflate nowproduces about 16/. per ann.
