Patent Solid

Milled Matching Cutters.

Our Patent Solid Matching Cutters are made of the hest English cast steel, insuperior style and finish, so the opposite end can he used for jointing. They arethe most efficient and durable of any in use, suited to every kind of machine, andunequaled for the following reasons:

First.—The profile of these cutters is milled into shape with clearance, so novariation of the size of the tongue and groove can occur in grinding the bevel, asis possible with the ordinary cutters.

Second.—The bevel side of the cutter being made to work toward the cut, thefinal cutting point is brought at nearly right angles to the surface, thus producinga scraping cut, which leaves the work clean and smooth.

Third.—They are set in position much more readily, and actual use has proventhat they possess more than twice the durability of the old style of cutters. Theyare easily kept in order, cut very clean, and retain their cutting edge a long time.

These Cutters are furnished in sets of four for two-knife heads, or sets of six forthree-knife matcher-lieads of any size desired. A full stock of standard thickness,'Xs inch, is kept constantly on hand. Cutters of special sizes and for any make ofmachine can be supplied at short notice.

In placing the cutters in the heads insert them with the bevel toward thecut, as shown in the engraving below.

Triple-Wing Matcher-Heads.

These are specially heavy,with triple wings for carryingthree cutters. The bit-seats arefinished in the best manner,and provided with steel screwstapped in from the top to holdthe cutters securely in placewhen set. The horn is long, soas to give a good bearing onthe spindle. It has an adjust-ing screw on the top for regu-lating the position of thetongue and groove with thecenter of the board; also ascrew on the side between thewings for fastening to the matcher spindles.

The bit-seats are made 2\i" wide in the head, and will receive bits, to work 2"find under. Other sizes furnished to order. The bits seen in the heads are thePatent Solid Milled Cutters, and should be set as there shown.
