Firß , They’ll Flock together, a*d lye. dose together, as if they Were in-Sholts , like in a PtW, that has been so fhallow, as I have often scen,scmetimes in one place, sometimes in another, but when Disturb’d, they areasto your Sighr, all difperlt d and lost ina Trice : And so are thesc little Creaturesin their Original Liquor, if you (hake the Liquor betöre you look to find iheimin Sbcles, ör alter; At leaft I am fure I did,. and eould never find anyin thatparcel of Liquar, till Nrxt Day, or till they did AJJociate again.

2 dly, They will follow their Liquor; to Act in, to the last Particle of ittill they have no moreto Swim in, and then will feem to Strugglefor wanton’t, till their Strength falls them, and then aster a Minute, they will feemDead upon the Objett Plate , (when thewatry parts are Dricdaway.)

3 dh, They will lye as ifthey were Dead, ncar half an bour or more,thenput a little JVater to ehern, in half a Minute they will begin to Move themselvesagain, and by Degrees begin loSwtm Faimly and Feebly at first(as Fijh willdo,) then Recovering their Strength again, will perform their Brisk Motionsas Vigorous as ever.

4 thly. Thole that are Almost Dead will look Fiat, as if Brest Thin, butwhen they Move, Turn themselves over and over, withoutany Regulär Mo- -tion ; so that you might sce themas Thin, as the Thinnest Spangle you everfaw, and like it in Shape; and they will continue so, so long as they are Faintand Sick: But withtn about an hour’s time they will grow Plump and well;again, if you Add Frelh Liquor to them in time.

These Anmalcula choose for the most part, the Top ofthe Liquor - I son--posc for the fake of the Air. ’ ’

If you pereeive them lye Dead upon the Objett Flate, as I did, and do-not remember to Add fVattr to Revive them, within an hour, they will beDead indeed: But you may sce them in the Fofiure you Lest them, manyDays aster.

Now to give a farther Testimony, that they are Anmalcula, which somedoubt, I have Noted the followingObscrvations;

If youtakea fine Needle, and put the point into Sprit of Vitriol, tho T 'you can sce none of the Sprit with your Bare Eye upon its Point when you mtake it out, yet if you prick the tarne point of that Needle into the middleof that Drop, no biggerthan a sinall Pin’s-Head, when some hundredt of-these Anmalcula are Swimming very nimbly Frisking about, you fhall im--mediately sce thesc Minute Creatures f if I may so cail them) presently Af-fected from the Acid Particlcs, so as to Spnad themselves, and Tumble py g 0down scemingly Dead.

If you dissolve Salt find with the point of the some Needle,repeat the Experi-ment (in the some manner) in some ofthe some Liquor that contains some ofthe some parcel of Animalcula, you fhall sce the Creatures aforemention« -ed, be Affected too, Stop in their Motion, but in another manuer quite; notfpreadFlat, as thosc with Spirit of Vitriol did, but (hrink Long and Roundin Form and Figure of that we call (whole Oat-meal, or) an Excorticated OatiAnd whereas the First with the Spirit feil down Fiat without Turning; these,as soon as Affected, turn Round and Round, when they begin to be Sick,and

Wobble,
