Upon all these Accounts, the DivineWisdom and Goodness took another andmore effectual, and yet a most rationalMeans, highly suitable to the Nature andExigence of Mankind, to retaifl him andreduce him to the true and just Position ofhis Soul in relation to the Almighty, andconsequently to Happiness and Blessedness,

I Come now to that other great Meansof the true Conversion of the Soul toGod, and placing it in its true and rightposition, in relation to him; namely Dirvine Rtvelation,

And although in respect of the mannerof the Discovery v this Means is Divine andSupernatural, yet we stall hereafter feethat it is. not improperly ranked amongthose Means that I call rational, becausewhen discovered, it bears a high Congrui-ty to true Reason, and the Faculties of theReasonable Soul of Man : And because the
